When we complete an oral event, we want to send people home with the Scriptures they have translated. One solution to this is to use MegaVoice players. These compact players use a battery, and have a small solar panel on the back to help keep them charged in remote places. They can also be charged using a phone charger with a micro-USB connection.

The devices can be loaded at any time during the translation process, but it is most useful after full chapters have been completed. At this point, you can compile the chapters, and copy single .wav files from the tablets. These .wav files can be copied to the players, or they can first be converted to .mp3 files, and then copied. .mp3 files take approximately 1/10 the space of .wav files, but the cards supplied in these devices are large enough for the entire Bible in .wav.

The compilation process in BTT Recorder produces files with a specific name format. Fortunately, this name format sorts properly, using alpha-numeric principles in the player.

To copy the files to the player, attach the player using a micro-USB cable. It will mount like a USB drive named 'NO NAME'. To copy the books to this drive, simply create folders for each book of the Bible that you are copying, and copy the compiled chapter files into that folder.

Because the player sorts folders alpha-numerically, you should probably put a number at the beginning of the book names in order to sort them into Bible order.

The numbers used for the USFM files used by Wycliffe Associates are:

01-GEN 12-2KI 23-ISA 34-NAM 46-ROM 57-TIT
02-EXO 13-1CH 24-JER 35-HAB 47-1CO 58-PHM
03-LEV 14-2CH 25-LAM 36-ZEP 48-2CO 59-HEB
04-NUM 15-EZR 26-EZK 37-HAG 49-GAL 60-JAS
05-DEU 16-NEH 27-DAN 38-ZEC 50-EPH 61-1PE
06-JOS 17-EST 28-HOS 39-MAL 51-PHP 62-2PE
07-JDG 18-JOB 29-JOL 41-MAT 52-COL 63-1JN
08-RUT 19-PSA 30-AMO 42-MRK 53-1TH 64-2JN
09-1SA 20-PRO 31-OBA 43-LUK 54-2TH 65-3JN
10-2SA 21-ECC 32-JON 44-JHN 55-1TI 66-JUD
11-1KI 22-SNG 33-MIC 45-ACT 56-2TI 67-REV

You don't need to use these numbers, but it will make updating easier.

So, to sum up, create a folder for the book, for example, 46-ROM, and put the compiled chapter .wav/.mp3 files for Romains in the folder.

When you want to play back, press the green button on the player, and it will begin to play the files in order, starting with the first book, and going until reaching the last, then looping around to start again.
